Compensation: This is a paid internship offering hourly compensation, $18/hour.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Assist the Graphic Design team to conceptualize, design, and execute creative designs for a variety of mediums, including print, digital, event signage, and social media.

• Collaborate with the Communications’ team to create compelling and engaging content (social media posts, graphics) to expand the digital footprint of Delano Media Group (parent company) and Position Sports and support client initiatives.

• Assist with graphic design requests and prioritize deadlines effectively.

• Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential occasional travel for events, including assisting other departments on-site when needed (i.e., communications and operations). 

• Assist in developing content aligned to brand look and feel consistently across all creative deliverables.

• Stays up-to-date with industry trends, innovation, and technology in and out of sports.

• Actively participate in the creative ideation process for current and potential clients.

• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with a professional and positive attitude.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, In-Design).

• Technical knowledge of file preparation and procedures.

• Proven experience in designing print materials utilizing vector-based assets.

• Excellent sensibility for type, color, and page layout and visual problem-solving.

• Proven written and verbal communication in a professional environment.

• Ability to present creative ideas, provide rationale behind creative strategies, and present work at internal creative reviews; is receptive and open to input and feedback.

• Motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at an accredited institution.

• Must be available to work between 10-15 hours per week. Candidates should expect a flexible schedule, with potential work during evenings, weekends, and holidays to support event-related needs.

• Availability to work 2-3 days/week in our Phoenix or Las Vegas office is preferred. Remote work may be considered for exceptionally strong candidates.

• A compelling design portfolio is required for consideration.
